Avtandil was born on April 11, 1952, and in no time let everyone around him know that he is a multi-talented attention-grabbing center of the Universe. From age 3 he danced national dances, sang songs in front of audiences (demanding attention from the family members, house guests and passers by), and made sculptures from every material he was able to find. At age 7 he participated in an open audition and was accepted (and quickly became a soloist) as a dancer in the regional school ensemble. Year later the head of the National Dance Ensemble saw him performing and offered him an engagement. At age 9 Avtandil began to tour Georgia and quickly became this country’s youngest dancing star. Practically all his middle & high school years he was touring Georgia and neighboring countries, and his future as a professional dancer was set.
Avtandil’s paintings are in the such important art collections as collections of the United States Ambassador to Georgia, Governor of the Republic of Adjaria, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Russian Federation, Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, President of International Lyons Club, and many more.
