Lela Maharobeli (in Georgian that means “messenger of good news”) was born on June 11, 1975. Her father and mother are artists, father being one of the best-known Georgian artists, Avtandil Maharoblidze, teacher to dozens of talented and now famous Georgian artists. At age 18, after graduation from high school, Lela began in 1993 to study at the Georgian State Academy of Art, and graduated from the Academy in 1999.
